ENGAGEMENT, TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
A. Functional Group Engagement – Learning Platforms
Form student functional groups based on their expertise, identify a moderator for each group, schedule routine engagement opportunities, and prepare learning platforms. Engagement through a functional group structure encourages students to share best practices, experiences, and establish consistency in approach to processes while building a network among students-faculty community, also efficiently combine resources and align them into a Learning Platform for Students. It is recommended to have routine company-specific feeds, role-specific feeds, feedback from companies, technology upgrades, current business trends, talent acquisition metrics, workshops, and relatively webinars – led by industry experts to engage the functional groups together and focus on motivation, talent, and confidence of the students. Each functional group will have a designated moderator who is responsible for offering support to the group by keeping them engaged and informed of upcoming professional development opportunities from SPOT or from the student/faculty community.B. Current Industry Trends The students will have the opportunity to develop domain and functional knowledge based on the companies and standards in the industry, to include knowledge of key players, leaders, current industry developments, competition and globalization. Technology Students will have the opportunity to develop the skills to thoroughly understand basic technical interview questions. Will be able to transpose their technical knowledge in the interviews and technical discussionsC. Skill Specific
Communication Effective communication is necessary for group discussions, technical discussions, and HR interviews. Provide opportunities for students to develop skills for improved communication, better careers goals and enhanced engagement. Soft Skills Training will be provided on basic professional etiquettes, interview etiquettes, body language learning how to identify, address and handle interviews by listening and communicating to capture and create an impressive image about themselves Interview Skills Specifics skills to be successful in interviews based on company and its expectations would be recommended for the students. Basics of interview techniques will be rehearsed with the students. Mock interviews with industry experts will be conducted for all studentsD. Specific Languages
Tech stack training of the most commonly used like JAVA, PYTHON, and C++ trainings will be offered through a variety of options. The need for additional training will be monitored and coordinated as needed.E. Engagement Calendar
